The one problem with the F50*fd*’s resolution is that it isn’t maintained over the entire frame.
Clicking on the resolution chart photo above brings up the full resolution version, where you will notice that every line on the chart is sharply resolved, even the long, thin trumpets. Not only are these the highest lw/ph values we’ve ever seen, but the sharpening levels are just right, so there isn’t much image artifacting. The camera resolves 2776 lw/ph horizontally with 6.6 percent oversharpening, and 2420 lw/ph vertically with 5.9 percent undersharpening. *3 Exif 2.2 is a newly revised digital camera file format that contains a variety of shooting information for optimal printing.Other high-resolution cameras we tested this year have been impressive, but the resolution of the Fuji F50*fd* is truly astounding. *2 Please see the Fujifilm website to check memory card compatibility. *1 Number of effective pixels: The number of pixels on the image sensor which receive input light through the optical lens, and which are effectively reflected in the final output data of the still image. 110g (excluding accessories, batteries and memory card) Power supply: NP-45 Li-ion battery (included) / CP-45 with AC power adapter AC-5VX (sold separately).Playback functions: Face Detection, Slide show, Scrap book view slide show, Trimming, Single frame, Multi-frame playback including Micro Thumbnail mode, Sorting by date, Image rotate, Voice Memo.Photography functions: Face Detection (with Res-eye removal), High-speed shooting, Best framing, Frame No.
